Lab Etiquette


  1. KEEP IT “G RATED” AT ALL TIMES. No profanity or lewd conversation allowed. If no children or ladies are present, this rule still applies.

  1. PLEASE TURN OFF CELL PHONES WHEN ENTERING THE BUILDING. If you must make or receive a phone call during class or while waiting for class, be respectful and take it outside.

  1. NO EGOS ALLOWED. Control your temper at all times. Intimidation of any kind will not be tolerated. Never brag about domination of another student. Many times a more advanced student will allow himself to lose to raise his own level of training.

  1. NO SHOES, FOOD OR DRINKS ALLOWED ON THE MATS AT ANY TIME.

  2. NEVER LEAVE THE DRESSING ROOM WITHOUT PROPER ATTIRE. A shirt is required at all times.

  3. A black T-shirt with jeans or tactical pants is preferred as a uniform. NO T-SHIRTS WITH PROVOCATIVE PRINTS.

  4. KEEP ALL YOUR EQUIPMENT, CLOTHING AND UNIFORM CLEAN FOR EACH TRAINING- SESSION. This is very important in keeping the school sanitized at all times.

  5. KEEP FINGER AND TOE NAILS SHORT FOR EVERYONES SAFETY.

  6. ALWAYS PRACTICE GOOD HYGIENE. This will prevent an unpleasant training experience for other students and embarrassment for you.

  7. INTRODUCE YOURSELF TO NEW STUDENTS or students that you do not know and make them feel welcome and at ease.

  8. IF YOU ARE LATE FOR A CLASS, DO NOT BE EMBARRASSED. It happens to everyone at some point. Simply wait by the entrance until the instructor invites you into the class.

  9. IF YOU WALK IN WHILE ANOTHER CLASS IS IN SESSION, please come in and sit by the entrance and wait for your class to begin without disrupting.

  10. WHEN AN INSTRUCTOR IS TEACHING THERE SHOULD BE NO TALKING. This is why we are here, TO LEARN, so there should be no talking even if you have seen the technique before and think you know it.

  11. THERE SHOULD BE NO ONE INSTRUCTING EXCEPT THE INSTRUCTOR. Unless the instructor asks for your assistance.

  12. AT NO TIME WILL ANY VIDEOGRAPHY OF ANY KIND BE ALLOWED INSIDE THE SCHOOL.

  13. ALL STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO REPORT ANY INJURY, health or skin condition to their instructor prior to class.
